The dermis is composed of a network of elastin and collagen fibres, which offer support and elasticity and over time this causes the depressions in the skin.

Meet Kareem Mohamed
Kareem qualified from the University of Manchester and undertook his vocational training in London, during which he was awarded the Ruby Austin shield for clinical excellence. Having completed his training, Kareem moved to Bristol where he worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Since then, Kareem has been working in general practice. In 2019 he became a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Bristol Dental Hospital where he also lectures and supervises dental students. Kareem adopts a patient-centric approach to treatment, offering excellent patient care within a relaxed environment.
