Working with your dentist
There are times when dentists and other healthcare providers feel it would be better for a patient to be treated by a specialist in their field – someone with the advanced training, skills, experience and specialist equipment necessary to provide the best possible standard of care for your specific treatment needs.
If your dentist has referred you to us, you are in safe hands. We will be working with your dentist to understand the reason for your referral and they typically share background information, dental history and records in a safe and secure way to ensure we have as much information as possible. From a consultation with you which may include x-rays and scans, we can then correctly diagnose any issues and recommend the best possible course of treatment for you.

At Bristol Dental Specialists, we offer high quality, expert care to our own patients and those referred to us by their own dentist or healthcare provider.
Our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team allows for the management of complex dental treatments to be conveniently carried out under one roof.
We have an excellent reputation among both patients and local dentists for high-quality care and customer service. We appreciate that being referred could be a little daunting, but please rest assured that you are in very good hands. Our team have undergone years of postgraduate training to enable them to achieve predictable results: even for the most complex cases.
What happens next?
When you attend your initial consultation we will assess your dental needs and explain the treatment that we plan to carry out. You can find out more about us, how we plan to help you and ask any questions that you may have. We follow this appointment with a written treatment plan, which explains the treatment we will carry out and what the cost will be.
A copy of this is sent to your own dentist. We will keep your dentist fully informed of your progress. Once treatment is complete, your dentist will monitor the teeth we have treated at your regular oral health examinations.
